EIGHT-SPEED SPORT DIRECT-SHIFT TRANSMISSION

For dynamic performance on and off the track, the eight-speed Sport Direct-Shift transmission offers manual control through large steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Precisely positioned for faster gear changes, they deliver split-second upshifts and nearly seamless downshifts. And, when not in Manual mode, the transmission detects when the GS F enters a curve, and holds the lower gear throughout for optimal response when accelerating out.

TORQUE VECTORING DIFFERENTIAL

Putting added control into the hands of the driver, the GS F is the first Lexus sedan to feature a Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD). With three selectable modes—Standard, Slalom and Track—the TVD responds in one-thousandth of a second to vary torque distribution according to cornering conditions. By sending more power to the outside rear tire, it helps propel the GS F around the turn for enhanced agility while also helping you to hold your line with ultimate precision.
